Our everyday digital experiences are in the midst of a realtime revolution. Whether chatting alongside a livestreaming event, receiving realtime financial information, or working with colleagues in an online collaborative environment - consumers simply expect realtime digital experiences as standard. At Ably we’re not just witnessing this revolution, we’re powering it - at scale.
At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to putting developers first. Ably provides a suite of products to build, extend, and deliver powerful digital experiences in realtime, delivering billions of messages for millions of devices every day and supporting organizations like Harness, EA, Panasonic and HubSpot.
Working at Ably means helping to build the infrastructure and technology that will power and shape the future of the internet. The opportunity in front of us is immense. And we’d like your help.
About this roleDevelopers no longer start a product evaluation on Google. They ask Claude, ChatGPT, or Perplexity - and they get an answer in seconds. The blog post, the tutorial, and the documentation that used to earn a developer's trust through search rankings now has to earn it through AI intermediaries and peer recommendation first. That's the shift this role exists to respond to.We're looking for a Developer Relations Manager to own Ably's presence, trust, and credibility in developer spaces - before a developer ever signs up. You'll sit within the Marketing team, working closely with the Developer Experience and Product teams, and your job is to make Ably AI Transport genuinely known and respected among the developers who evaluate realtime infrastructure: through technical education that earns trust, a respected presence in the communities where the right developers already are, content that gets shared without prompting, and the kind of LLM visibility that means Ably comes up accurately when a developer asks an AI assistant for a recommendation. This is a complementary role to our Developer Growth Manager, who owns the developer journey from sign-up through activation and expansion. Your focus is everything upstream: the content, community, and credibility that brings developers to the door in the first place. You will work closely together. Your work feeds their funnel. This is an AI-forward role. You'll build content structured for LLM ingestion, create reference implementations that AI coding assistants learn from, and use AI to move faster across research, writing, and experimentation. You already have a personal brand, a credible voice in the developer community. At Ably you will create the conditions for Ably's engineers and product people to build theirs too. The goal is a company where technical opinions come from many voices, not one.Day to day, you will
Own Ably's technical education programme. You'll write quickstarts and guides that teach developers how to solve real AI problems with Ably. Not just how to use the API. Content will be specific, honest about failure modes, and written for the senior engineer evaluating Ably for production use, not the newcomer following a getting-started guide.
Be a credible presence in the communities that matter - and bring others with you. You'll identify the developer spaces where the right practitioners already gather and show up in them genuinely: contributing real knowledge, engaging in technical debates, building relationships. But you won't be the only Ably voice. You'll create the conditions (playbooks, prompts, removing friction) that make it easy for Ably's engineers and product people to participate authentically too. The goal is Ably represented across multiple credible voices in the spaces that matter, not just one.
Feed developer intelligence across Ably. You’re closest to developers before they sign up - in communities, at events, through content. You’ll aggregate what you’re observing: which problems keep surfacing publicly, which framework communities are hitting the pain AIT solves, what objections are appearing consistently, where Ably is absent from conversations it should be in. That intelligence flows to DevEx, Product, AI Transport engineering and to sales and marketing (who own the outreach and re-engagement decisions). Your job is pattern recognition and signal aggregation, not account tracking. Specific, actionable patterns e.g. “three developers in the LangGraph community hit reconnection failures at scale this month” or “the Temporal objection is coming up independently across multiple evaluations” are the outputs that change what sales prioritises and what docs and DevEx teams build next.
Contribute to documentation quality. You'll work with the DevEx and AI Transport engineering team to ensure technical content is LLM-parseable, accurate, and structured for how developers actually use it. You'll identify gaps that AI coding assistants surface when they try to implement Ably, and advocate for fixing them.
What success looks like
Ably appears accurately and consistently in LLM responses when developers ask about realtime infrastructure, AI streaming, or pub/sub - measured and tracked.
Ably is a known and respected presence in the communities where AI product developers hit streaming failures, session continuity problems, and multi-agent coordination issues at scale - Temporal, Vercel AI SDK, and framework-specific forums. Not just mentioned, but genuinely engaged with before developers have even started evaluating solutions.
Technical content that developers share without prompting, and that drives measurable self-serve signups.
AI coding assistants - Cursor, Copilot, Claude - that correctly recommend and implement Ably when given relevant problems.
A personal brand with a genuine developer audience that follows you, not just Ably's corporate accounts.
Named, specific developer feedback that directly influences product and documentation decisions.
We'd love to talk if you have
A technical background, you can write real code against an API, read a technical architecture, and hold your own in a conversation with an engineering team.
A track record of technical writing that developers actually read and share. Not documentation for documentation's sake. Content that earns trust.
Experience building or growing a developer community, with a clear understanding of what makes one healthy versus what makes one large.
Genuine understanding of how developers evaluate and adopt new tools, including how AI assistants now mediate that process.
A point of view on realtime infrastructure, AI development patterns, or developer experience that you'd be comfortable defending in public.
Enough familiarity with orchestration frameworks (Temporal and Vercel in particular) to articulate clearly where AIT’s transport and session layer sits relative to state management and orchestration. This objection surfaces independently in technical evaluations and needs a technically credible answer, not a marketing one.
Experience using AI as a core part of your workflow - for research, writing, content structuring, and experimentation.
Strong cross-functional instincts: you're comfortable working across marketing, product, and engineering without being owned by any of them.
Bonus points if you have
building AI products that require streaming and session management.
An existing developer audience: a blog, newsletter, YouTube channel, or social following - that is genuinely engaged.
Experience structuring documentation or content for LLM ingestion (llms.txt, GEO, answer engine optimisation).
Familiarity with product analytics and activation funnels. You don't need to own the data, but you should be able to read it.
Previous DevRel, developer marketing, or developer education experience at a developer-first infrastructure company.
What’s it like to work at Ably?
We’re tackling planet-scale problems and our ambitions are a testament to that. You’ll join a successful, deeply motivated and collaborative team that thrives on innovation, experimentation and autonomy. To get a sense of life at Ably, visit our careers page. You can also read about the origins of Ably's core values on our blog.
We believe in fostering a culture that's built on inclusivity and mutual respect among all team members, and we recognise that each individual is different and will want to be supported in their role in different ways. We provide a range of perks and benefits to aid folks' development and wellbeing, allowing them to be their best selves and do great work.
A remote-first and flexible work environment. UK-based teams come together in person once per month in our London hub (next to Old Street) and we get together as a company twice per year. Aside from that, you’re welcome to work wherever suits best for you.
Equity. We’re a growing start-up and we want all team to members to share in the success of the company through our EMI share options programme.
Enhanced holiday allowance. Our policy provides Ablyans with 28 days of paid annual leave (27 regular days, plus a day off to enjoy your birthday).
Enhanced parental leave package, so that you can take the time you need to get to know your new family member, rest and recover.
Home workstation budget of £500 on joining (and £150 p/a thereafter), so that your home office is set up to serve you well and that you have everything you need to work comfortably.
Personal learning and development budget of £1000 annually, and 5% L&D time during working hours to focus on improving your skillset.
Private healthcare with BUPA.
Medical cash plan to cover a range medical and dental costs.
Mental wellbeing coaching and counselling from Self Space.
Monthly wellbeing budget via Juno.
Life assurance and income protection.
Access to Tech & Cycle to Work schemes.
Weekly snack allowance for our end-of-week “Need To Know” meeting.
A fully-paid one-month sabbatical after five years with Ably.
Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging at Ably
We believe our differences as individuals is what makes us great. Our people are at the heart of what we do, and we encourage everyone to be their most authentic self at Ably: we see inclusivity and openness as fundamental to creating long-term success as an organization. We encourage applications from all backgrounds regardless of age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, parental status, race, religion, educational background or neurodiversity. Ably has an amazing opportunity ahead of us, and we want anyone to be able to contribute to that opportunity.
If you enjoy working as part of a technology company, value open source, and love solving hard problems - then we’d love to hear from you, regardless of whether you fit the job description exactly or not. If in doubt, drop us an email; we’d be more than happy to give you some advice on your application.

currents.dev is the CI test orchestration and analytics platform for Playwright. Engineering teams use us to run their end-to-end test suites in parallel, debug flaky tests with rich replay data, and ship faster with confidence. We are a small, profitable, engineering-focused company headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, with a fully distributed team of experienced engineers. Our customers are engineering teams at scale-ups and enterprises who care deeply about test reliability, CI speed, and shipping quality software. Our community of QA and platform engineers is the engine of our growth. Our customers are top-tier engineering teams from AWS, Wiz.io, Cursor, Perplexity, LangChain, Autodesk, RedHat, n8n, Saleforce, Snowflake and more.About the roleWe are hiring our first dedicated Developer Relations and Marketing Engineer to own how engineers discover, learn, and fall in love with Currents. This is a hybrid role that sits between engineering, marketing and sales. You will create technical content, tutorials and example apps, help our customers with adopting Currents, discover opportunities to improve Currents, share customer success stories, and use AI tools aggressively to multiply the quality and output. You will have unusual surface area and ownership for someone joining a company at this stage — you will be the company face and mouth shaping developer-facing narrative for Currents with high level of autonomy. If you're a QA, SDET or Platform engineer who has loves devtools, platforms, loves helping other engineers, explain complex topics and provide real value for your peers via a blog, YouTube channel, or speaking, this may be the full-time version of the work you've already been doing. If you are a marketing specialist who is well familiar with software / developer culture, not afraid to explore and dive into technical topics (with guideance and help) care about producing non-slop, high quality materials that resonate the the audience, this job can also be a good match. What you'll do- Create technical content that QA, SDET and platform engineers actually want to read: tutorials, deep-dives on CI and Playwright internals, comparisons, CI/CD recipes, debugging guides, and post-mortem-style engineering stories.- Build, maintain and improve our documentation, tutorials, examples, demo application, benchmarks, demo applications, sample repositories, integrations, and code that proves Currents works for real test suites in real CI pipelines.- Collaborate with our power users, surface insights back to the product team, and turn power users into advocates.- Partner with the founder on customer conversations — qualifying discovery calls, technical demos, and the occasional "let me jump in and help you debug this flaky test" moment.- Collaborate with the founder, growth lead and engineering team on product, positioning, roadmap and overall company direction.- Educate, collaborate with educators and build materials to empower our customers and community.- Own the and operate Currents public presence in the broader community.- Use AI tools such as Claude and Cursor aggressively to multiply your output and quality across writing, code samples, video editing, and research. We expect this. We don't tolerate slop.- Measure what's working. Report on funnel metrics, content performance, community growth, and pipeline contribution. Iterate accordingly. What we're looking for**Background and experience**- A DevRel, QA, SDET, Platform Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Marketing or Sales specialist with background in deploying, improving or reviewing devtools. Ideally you’re familiar with challenges of writing, running and fixing tests in CI, have experience with popular testing frameworks and you understand the pain of a flaky CI pipeline at 2 a.m.- Four or more years of hands-on experience. Prior DevRel or marketing experience is welcome but not required — we'd rather hire a strong engineer moving into DevRel than a career DevRel with no testing background.**Technical skills**- Strong working knowledge of modern web development technologies.- Familiarity and interest in devtool in hybrid areas like CI, devops, frontend development, testing, observability.- Comfort in a terminal, reading other people's test suites, and setting up local development environments.- Familiarity with CI platforms such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, GitLab CI, or Buildkite.- Fluent use of AI tools in your day-to-day workflow. You can show us how AI makes you three times faster, not three times noisier.**Content and communication**- A public portfolio of technical content. This could be a personal blog, a YouTube channel, conference talks (any size), OSS contributions, published courses, or a substantive LinkedIn presence. Size matters less than evidence that you can teach and explore in public.- Near-native, idiomatic English in both writing and speech. You will be the voice of Currents to thousands of engineers.- Comfort on camera and on calls. Webinars, demos, and customer conversations should energize you, not drain you.**Working style**- Working hours that overlap meaningfully with Vancouver (Pacific Time). Realistically that means you're based somewhere in the Americas, the UK, or Western or Central Europe.- Self-directed, comfortable owning outcomes without heavy oversight, and able to prioritize ruthlessly across content, community, and customer work.Nice to have- Prior DevRel, technical writing, or developer marketing experience.- Experience with sales-adjacent work such as customer discovery, technical demos, or partner enablement.- Contributions to Playwright, or adjacent OSS testing tools. What we offer- $100,000–$150,000 adjusted to geography and experience.- Meaningful equity in a profitable, growing company.- Fully remote, asynchronous-friendly work environment.- Health benefits appropriate to your country, provided through our Employer of Record or as a stipend where applicable.- Conference and travel budget. We'd love to send you to the events where our community gathers, and to fly you out for team offsites.- Real ownership of the DevRel function, and the ability to see your work ship and reach thousands of engineers. How to apply1. A resume, short note on why this role, at this company, at this moment.2. Links to public work you've shipped — writing, videos, code, talks, community contributions, or anything else that shows how you think and teach.Hiring ProcessWe review applications on a rolling basis. Our process is: - application review, - a 30-minute conversation with a core team member- take-home exercise: a paid content trial (one blog post or video, compensated at market rate)- a 1.5-hour interview with founder- background check, offer

NVIDIA is building GPU acceleration for the analytical data processing ecosystem: the query engines, data platforms, and processing frameworks that the world runs its analytics on. Making that real means embedding an acceleration layer inside engines we do not own. Each of those engines has its own optimizer, scheduler, memory model, and exchange, and each one draws the line between "adopt your component" and "keep mine" in a different place. Nobody has settled what that integration surface should look like. That is the problem this role owns. We are looking for someone with genuine depth in how analytical data systems are built: query planning and processing, columnar and vectorized processing, storage formats, or the internals of a SQL engine. You will work with the maintainers, architects, and engineering leaders behind these systems, in public where the project is open and directly where it is not, on how acceleration lands in what they ship. You will produce the benchmark evidence that shows whether it worked, and turn what you learn into concrete requirements for NVIDIA's roadmap. This is a developer relations role rather than an engineering role because the leverage is breadth. An engineer improves one engine. This role shapes how acceleration lands across the ecosystem and influences which parts of it get there first. What You'll Be DoingBuild and deepen technical expertise in analytical data processing, including query execution and optimization, columnar and vectorized processing, and distributed execution. Serve as a technical advocate and trusted resource for the developers building and operating these systems, working with cross-functional partners to drive adoption of NVIDIA technologies such as Sirius, cuCascade, RAPIDS, cuDF, nvCOMP, and CUDA-X Data Processing.Demonstrate and integrate NVIDIA's data processing stack (libraries, SDKs, and tools) into real query engines and OLAP databases, carrying the work from prototype through to a functioning, measured integration across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem deployments.Support developers, projects, and partners through onboarding and integration by providing working reference implementations, integration guides, and direct hands-on engineering help, so that a first integration produces a real accelerated query path rather than a demo.Track the analytical data processing ecosystem: new engines, execution models, storage formats, and competing approaches to acceleration. Share what you learn with NVIDIA engineering, product, marketing, and the worldwide field organization to shape adoption strategy.Collaborate with engine architects and NVIDIA engineering to resolve integration problems, establish best-practice patterns, and feed concrete technical requirements back to NVIDIA product teams.Define the integration surface between NVIDIA's GPU data processing libraries and third-party query engines: where the plan handoff occurs, how execution and memory ownership are divided, and which of a partner's differentiating components remain in place alongside ours. Specify the APIs NVIDIA must expose to make that possible, and carry the patterns that work forward from one integration to the next.Own the benchmark evidence for GPU-accelerated analytics. Design and run TPC-H, TPC-DS, and ClickBench measurements against the strongest available CPU baselines, separate cold and warm behavior, and publish results that hold up to outside scrutiny. Use those results to establish where the acceleration case is proven, where it is not yet, and what has to change.Own the acceleration roadmap jointly with the projects and partners you work with: what gets built, in what order, and which technical bets are worth making. Earn that standing where the work happens, through upstream contribution and public design review in open source, and through joint architecture and roadmap planning with partner engineering leadership. What We Need To SeeBachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.6+ years of overall professional experience in the technology industry in software engineering, developer relations, technical partnerships, solutions architecture, or product management, including hands-on experience with analytical data systems. Equivalent evidence of domain authority is weighed in place of years: published systems research, maintainership of a widely used data system, or core contributions to a query engine or data processing library.Experience working with or supporting open source data projects and their contributor communities, commercial data platform and database ISVs, or cloud service provider data services.Working proficiency in the internals of analytical data systems: query execution and optimization, vectorized and columnar processing, joins and aggregation, and storage formats such as Parquet and Arrow. Comfortable reading and contributing to a large C++, Rust, or Python codebase.Comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams to discuss architecture, share feedback, and deliver technical presentations or demos.Ability to manage and implement technical projects, solve integration challenges, and effectively communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.Strong communication skills and a passion for helping developers innovate with NVIDIA tools and technology.Ways To Stand Out From The CrowdCommitter, maintainer, or sustained contributor to a widely used open source data system..Shipped an acceleration layer or engine integration into a commercial data platform, end to end.Published or presented systems work at venues such as VLDB, SIGMOD, CIDR, or major open source community conferences..Experience serving as technical counterpart to partner engineering leadership, including architecture review, design review, and joint roadmap planning.Hands-on familiarity with advanced computing and GPU acceleration platforms, including CUDA, RAPIDS, cuDF, nvCOMP, and related CUDA-X libraries. With competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, we are widely considered to be one of the world's most desirable employers! We have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us and, due to outstanding growth, our best-in-class engineering teams are rapidly growing. If you're a creative and autonomous person with a real passion for technology, we want to hear from you.Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.Applications for this job will be accepted at least until August 14, 2026.This posting is for an existing vacancy.NVIDIA uses AI tools in its recruiting processes.NVIDIA is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment and proud to be an equal opportunity employer. As we highly value diversity in our current and future employees, we do not discriminate (including in our hiring and promotion practices) on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, disability status or any other characteristic protected by law., , JR2022868

This role sits at the intersection of protocol depth and community trust, and is the primary bridge between GOAT's core technology and the builders who will create real economic activity on the network. What You'll DoTechnical Advocacy & Education• Own the technical storytelling for GOAT Network's core stack — Bitcoin Layer 2, x402 payment protocol, ERC-8004 machine identity, and Agent Harness — across developer channels.• Write developer documentation, integration guides, and tutorials that help builders go from zero to first transaction in days, not weeks.• Create demo videos, code examples, and sample applications that show — not tell — what agent-native payments look like in practice.• Give talks and run workshops at developer conferences or events to build GOAT's technical credibility.Builder Pipeline & Activation• Identify, qualify, and activate high-potential builders from the North America developer community with focus on agent builders, workflow/system designers, and AI-native product teams.• Run the technical onboarding process for the Builder Grants Program: review applications, assess builder potential, and guide accepted teams through integration.• Push builders from "interesting idea" to "real transaction", and this means hands-on support, not just pointing to docs.• Track builder progress post-grant and identify projects with traction worth escalating to ecosystem investment.Community & Ecosystem• Build and manage developer presence across GitHub, Discord, Twitter/X, and relevant subreddits (r/ethereum, r/MachineLearning, r/AIAgents).• Organize and co-host hackathons, online workshops, and office hours with partner ecosystems (LangChain, n8n, Coze, Dify communities).• Act as the primary technical liaison with ecosystem partners, such as protocol integrators, dev tool companies, and infrastructure collaborators.• Maintain a feedback loop between the builder community and GOAT's product and engineering teams: surface real integration pain points, not just sentiment.Content & Research• Publish technical content — blog posts, protocol comparisons, ecosystem analyses — that establishes GOAT as a credible voice in the agentic payment space.• Monitor the competitive landscape: x402 ecosystem, ACP, AP2, TAP, MPP — and translate protocol developments into clear positioning for builders.• Produce materials the China Ecosystem Coordinator can adapt for the Chinese market (technical explainers, case studies, integration playbooks). What We're Looking ForQualificationsMust-Have• 3+ years in developer relations, developer advocacy, or a technical community role at a protocol, infrastructure, or developer-tooling company.• Strong hands-on technical background — you can read smart contract code, build a working integration, and debug an API issue without help.• Deep familiarity with the Web3 and AI agent tooling landscape• Track record of building developer communities from early stage — you've done this before, not just maintained an existing one.• Exceptional written communication: your docs, tweets, and talks are clear, specific, and respected by developers.• Based in or willing to work North America hours; comfortable with regular travel for conferences and events.Strong Advantage• Prior experience with payment infrastructure, fintech protocols, or DeFi primitives.• Shipped a product or protocol integration that resulted in real transactions.• Existing personal network in the AI agent builder community (hackathon organizers, open-source contributors, Discord community leads).• Experience working with or alongside a BD or growth team, so you know how to translate "cool tech" into "why you should build on this."
