Localisation Technical Lead

· 5+ years of software engineering experience.

· Strong hands-on experience with localization tools and Translation Management Systems (TMS) such as Phrase, Passolo, or similar platforms.

· Strong understanding of end-to-end localization workflows, including content extraction, translation, review, QA, and release.

· Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.

· Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.

· Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

· Experience designing, developing, or improving automation frameworks.

· Strong backend development and problem-solving skills.

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Key Responsibilities

· Serve as the technical authority for localization implementation and quality standards within assigned products or content areas.

· Improve the efficiency, quality, and scalability of localization production through engineering-driven solutions.

· Provide technical guidance to suppliers and internal teams on localization tooling and implementation.

· Identify localization workflow bottlenecks and drive improvements through system enhancements and automation.

· Contribute to the evolution of shared localization tools and technical standards.

· Build and enhance integrations between product systems and localization platforms, including TMS, content repositories, and CI/CD pipelines.

· Develop automation for content extraction, file processing, translation handoff, validation, and testing.

· Partner closely with Localization Program Management and other technical teams to support localization decisions and quality standards.
