Design Humans is recruiting for an Instructional Designer, Video & Learning for our client, a fast-growing technology company building AI-powered products.
About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent role supporting a Senior Instructional Designer. You’ll help turn complex products, workflows, and processes into clear, engaging learning experiences, with a strong focus on video, visual storytelling, and product education. You’ll work closely with the Senior Instructional Designer and subject matter experts across product, engineering, marketing, and client-facing teams.
This role is based in NYC and requires working onsite 4 days a week. Relocation support is available for candidates who are serious about the opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Create learning content for onboarding, product education, training, and internal enablement
- Develop training videos, product walkthroughs, interactive guides, e-learning, and presentations
- Write scripts and storyboards for videos, demos, and explainers
- Help film, edit, and produce video content
- Use Figma to create layouts, prototypes, templates, and visual learning assets
- Bring strong visual storytelling and motion to learning experiences
- Partner with subject matter experts to understand complex products and turn them into clear content
- Support learner research, feedback, and usability testing
- Own individual projects and deliverables while working closely with the Senior Instructional Designer
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, enablement, content design, or a related field
- Strong visual design skills and experience with Figma
- Experience creating video or multimedia learning content
- Strong writing, storytelling, and communication skills
- Understanding of instructional design and learning principles
- Experience with tools such as Articulate, Rise, Storyline, Camtasia, After Effects, Premiere, or similar
- Comfortable working with subject matter experts and turning complex information into clear, engaging content
- Someone who can balance thoughtful learning design with hands-on content production
