The Role

We’re supporting a leading professional services organisation in their search for an experienced Digital Learning Designer to join their learning team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the design and development of engaging digital learning solutions, working closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to turn complex information into clear, effective and learner-focused content.

The role will involve working across the full digital learning development process, from understanding learning requirements and working with SMEs through to designing, developing and delivering polished digital learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop engaging, high-quality digital learning content from initial concept through to completion
• Work closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to understand complex information and learning requirements
• Translate detailed or technical subject matter into clear, accessible and engaging learning experiences
• Develop e-learning and digital learning solutions using appropriate instructional design principles
• Create engaging learning activities, interactions, assessments and multimedia content
• Review, edit and refine learning content to ensure accuracy, consistency and quality
• Work across multiple projects simultaneously, managing deadlines and priorities effectively
• Collaborate with wider learning and development teams to ensure content meets business and learner requirements
• Use appropriate digital learning technologies and authoring tools to produce high-quality learning materials
• Continuously look for ways to improve the learner experience and effectiveness of digital learning

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Proven experience working as a Digital Learning Designer, E-learning Designer or Learning Designer
• Strong experience designing and developing end-to-end digital learning solutions
• Excellent understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles
• Experience working with SMEs to develop learning from complex or specialist subject matter
• Strong experience with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and/or Rise
• Strong written and visual communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
• Confident working independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders and wider teams

Desirable:

• Experience working within a professional services, legal, financial services or other complex corporate environment
• Experience designing learning for complex or technical subject matter
• Experience incorporating AI tools into the learning design and development process
• Experience creating multimedia or video-based learning content
• Knowledge of additional learning technologies and digital authoring tools
• Experience working with established corporate brand guidelines

The ideal candidate will be a strong end-to-end Digital Learning Designer who can take complex information from SMEs and turn it into polished, engaging and effective digital learning. You should be comfortable managing the full design and development process, working independently and delivering high-quality content to deadlines.
