The Technical Writer will develop and maintain technical documentation for internal and external publication. This position works closely with engineering, operations, quality, product support, and sales teams to translate technical information into clear, accurate, and organized documentation.
Technical Writer Responsibilities:
Write and edit technical documentation including manuals, procedures, user guides, and service bulletins.
Review engineering drawings, design reports, and technical specifications to gather documentation content.
Translate technical concepts into clear and concise technical documentation.
Maintain technical documentation according to established style guides, templates, and documentation standards.
Maintain documentation records, revision updates, and version control.
Verify technical information with engineers and subject matter experts.
Manage document vaulting and change management workflows within the Product Data Management (PDM) system.
Conduct research related to applications and service requirements within the general aviation market.
Develop documentation supporting engineering, manufacturing, certification, and product-use requirements.
Technical Writer Qualifications:
Associate degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, Engineering, or a related discipline.
0β2 years of technical writing or documentation experience.
Knowledge of technical writing practices and documentation tools.
Experience with editing, proofreading, and technical document formatting.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical information.
Knowledge of document management and revision control.
Familiarity with documentation and publishing software.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
