The Role
β’ Write, edit, and maintain user-facing documentation for complex software products, including installation guides, user manuals, release notes, API references, and tutorials.
β’ Collaborate directly with software engineers, product managers, and release teams to understand product changes, new features, and technical workflows.
β’ Determine the most effective format and delivery method for each piece of content, such as structured topics, video tutorials, or embedded help.
β’ Revise and update existing documentation based on product changes, customer feedback, and internal reviews, ensuring accuracy and consistency across releases.
β’ Utilize authoring tools for content creation, version control, and publishing.
β’ Test product functionality hands-on to ensure documentation accurately reflects the user experience.
What You'll Need
β’ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Technical Writing, Computer Science, English, etc.) plus 2 years of technical writing experience, or a Master's degree.
β’ Fluency in English with exceptional writing and editing skills.
β’ Experience authoring structured documentation using XML-based tools, DITA, or similar content management systems.
β’ Ability to quickly learn complex software products by working with engineers, testing features, and synthesizing information from various sources.
β’ Skill in managing multiple documentation projects simultaneously with varying deadlines and technical complexities.
β’ Familiarity with Agile development workflows and the role of documentation within sprint cycles is a plus.
