The organization focuses on preventing and detecting fraud, waste, and abuse in government programs through data analytics, technology solutions, audits, investigations, and medical review.
2. About the Opportunity:
The Technical Writer role supports the organization by gathering and translating business requirements into technical documentation. This position is responsible for documenting processes, metadata usage, and data lineage to ensure clarity and accuracy in deliverables. The role contributes by facilitating communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, enhancing the quality of program integrity efforts.
3. Responsibilities:
- Gather business requirements for existing data warehouse processes and applications.
- Conduct interviews with technical staff and subject matter experts.
- Schedule and lead walkthroughs and business reviews to validate requirements.
- Identify, validate, and document metadata usage and data lineage.
- Map business process flows using Visio.
- Provide guidance to less experienced team members.
- Deliver high-quality service to customers.
- Apply business and technical knowledge to conduct root cause analysis.
- Document findings to support defect resolution.
- Develop and maintain information architecture and documentation per contract requirements.
- Ensure quality and consistency of reports and deliverables.
4. Requirements:
- Bachelor''s degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of four years professional experience as a technical writer or similar role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Visio, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle and healthcare industry, particularly Medicare and Medicaid.
- Experience with data warehousing and metadata management.
- Knowledge of Medicare and/or Medicaid fraud, waste, abuse, or program integrity work.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- U.S. remote annual salary range: $55,000 to $85,000.
- Salary will be based on experience, location, and job-related factors.
