🔧 Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support maintenance operations at General Electric Vernova. The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or maintenance environment, with strong technical documentation skills and the ability to translate complex maintenance procedures into clear, accurate, and user-friendly instructions.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update technical manuals, preventive maintenance (PM) work orders, and job plans.
• Create and maintain maintenance documentation within Maximo CMMS or similar systems.
• Validate maintenance procedures against OEM manuals, technical specifications, and established standards.
• Review labor estimates, job steps, and task sequencing for accuracy.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and engineering teams to gather and verify technical information.
• Support document control, configuration management, data entry, and technical reporting.
• Ensure documentation accuracy, consistency, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

✅ Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret OEM manuals, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF editing tools.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Familiarity with Maximo CMMS or other computerized maintenance management systems is preferred.
• Ability to access industrial equipment areas, including climbing stairs and ladders, while following required safety procedures and PPE standards.
• Flexibility to work different shifts and occasional overtime or weekends as required.
