Technical Publication Specialist

Experience:

3–7 years of relevant experience in Technical Publications and documentation in Aerospace &

Defence.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Technical Publication Specialist to support the development,

conversion, authoring, illustration, validation, publishing, and maintenance of technical

documentation for Aerospace & Defence products.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in JSS0251, S1000D, ATA iSpec 2200/2300,

IETM, Technical Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPC), Maintenance Manuals, and

structured technical documentation processes. Experience with XML-based authoring and CSDB

environments in A&D projects will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

✓ Develop and maintain technical publications in accordance with applicable customer,

product, and industry standards.

✓ Create, author, update, review, and validate Data Modules (DMs) and other structured

technical documentation.

✓ Work on S1000D-compliant technical publications, including Data Modules,

Publication Modules, ICNs and related objects.

✓ Perform technical content analysis, source-data review, information extraction, and

content structuring.

✓ Convert legacy technical documentation into structured XML/S1000D-compliant

formats.

✓ Develop and maintain IETMs / Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals.

✓ Prepare and maintain Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPC), Maintenance Manuals,

Service Manuals, Operating Manuals, and related publications.

✓ Coordinate with engineering, design, manufacturing, maintenance, and customer teams

to obtain and validate technical information.

✓ Create and manage 2D/3D technical illustrations, exploded views, schematics, and

line illustrations, Animations.

✓ Perform XML validation, data integrity checks, applicability management, and publication

quality checks.

Required Technical Skills:

✓ S1000D Issues

✓ ATA iSpec2200 /iSpec 2300

✓ Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) Experience

✓ JSS0251 Standard

✓ Technical Authoring with XML

✓ Technical Illustration (2D and 3D)

✓ Technical Publication and Compiling

✓ Experience in any CSDB.

✓ Stylesheet development and Schema customization

✓ Knowledge of ASD-STE100 Simplified Technical English is preferred.

✓ Experience in XML validation and technical publication quality assurance.

✓ Understanding of configuration management and document change control.

✓ Project Management

✓ Positioning the solution for customer requirements and including Presale task.

✓ Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, manuals, and other

technical source data.
