The Technical Documentation Specialist Assistant will be responsible for writing and modifying project related technical documentation under the direction of the Technical Documentation Specialist. In addition to the technical writing, this position would also be responsible for data entry/retrieval of part/BOM data into a database, writing Work Orders, Advance Bills of Material (ABM), and assembling drawing sets for release to fabrication. The Technical Documentation Specialist Assistant would work across multiple projects simultaneously supporting the various project teams while reporting to the Technical Documentation Specialist.
Job Responsibilities

Be able to read and understand mechanical detail drawings and technical documentation.
Be able to develop spare parts lists from materials ordered on various projects.
Be able to utilize CAD or drawing viewers to retrieve parts details information.
Be able to write project ABMβs and Work Orders to be sent to purchasing based on direction from the Project Engineer.
Be able to collect the required drawings and sub-assembly drawings to send for fabrication based on the ABMβs and Work Orders.
Must be able work with multiple project teams to create the required documents in a timely manner.
Be able to develop maintenance procedures for various conveyor components and present them in the customer required formats.
Be able to develop Failure Mode Effects Analysis documents (FMEA & PFMEA) in the customer required format based on systems drawings and sequence of operation information provided by Project Engineers.
Be able to read drawings and enter parts / BOM information into a parts database.
Be able to search & retrieve parts / BOM information from a database.
Complete tasks within project schedule deadlines including working OT as required to meet dates.
Education Requirements
Associate or bachelorβs degree in mechanical engineering, related technical field or relevant job experience.
Experience
Experience working both independently and in a team environment.
Experience working with technical drawings and documents.
Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, positive βcan-doβ attitude.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with SQL database systems.
Experience with SharePoint and MS Dataverse environments.
Experience with MS Power Apps.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner within a high-pressure environment.
