Technical Author - Controls & Automation Specialist

Kent is seeking Expressions of Interest from CSU Technical Author – Controls & Automation Specialists to support a major underground pumped storage hydroelectric project in regional NSW, delivering 2,000 MW of generation and pumping capacity with approximately 175 hours of energy storage for the National Electricity Market.

On a 12-month contract (extension option), you'll convert OEM-sourced control, automation and instrumentation commissioning procedures into Australian-compliant, field-executable documentation across six generating units.

We're looking for:

• 15+ years' commissioning experience on power plant control and automation systems, ideally hydro or comparable synchronous generation
• Hands-on experience with major OEM automation platforms (e.g. Voith, GE, ABB, Siemens, Andritz or equivalent)
• Governor and variable-speed converter control commissioning experience
• Demonstrated technical authoring — writing complex I&C commissioning procedures, not just executing them
• Engineering degree (Controls/Instrumentation, Mechatronics or equivalent)
