Senior Knowledge Management Specialist

For one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced Senior Knowledge Management Specialist to join a global knowledge management function within a commercially focused and fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong stakeholder management skills with hands-on knowledge management expertise and a passion for improving how critical business knowledge is created, governed, maintained, and accessed. You will play a key role in driving content quality, governance, usability, adoption, and scalable knowledge practices that help teams work more effectively and support business success.

Contract Details
This is a senior individual contributor position offering significant exposure across a global organisation. You will work closely with central teams, local business stakeholders, content owners, and subject matter experts to improve the quality, accessibility, and effectiveness of knowledge management practices.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead knowledge management initiatives and workstreams aligned with the wider knowledge management strategy.
* Partner with stakeholders across business functions to improve how knowledge is identified, captured, maintained, shared, and accessed.
* Develop and strengthen content standards, governance frameworks, workflows, and quality controls.
* Advise stakeholders on how to structure and present content to maximise usability, findability, accessibility, and AI-readiness.
* Improve the effectiveness of knowledge management platforms, tools, and search capabilities.
* Define, track, and analyse relevant metrics to measure success and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Support the adoption of new tools, processes, and knowledge management best practices across teams.
* Promote knowledge-sharing behaviours and collaborative ways of working throughout the organisation.

What We Are Looking For
* Proven experience in knowledge management, information management, content governance, enablement, or a related field.
* Experience working in a matrixed, global, or fast-moving environment with multiple stakeholder groups.
* Strong ability to translate business and user needs into practical knowledge solutions and improvements.
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills.
* Experience improving how knowledge is organised, maintained, governed, and made accessible.
* Strong analytical mindset with experience using data and metrics to drive continuous improvement.
* Familiarity with knowledge management systems, content standards, writing guidelines, and AI-supported search capabilities.
* Strong prioritisation and execution skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
* Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, or Salesforce is highly desirable.
* Exposure to governance frameworks, knowledge improvement programmes, change adoption initiatives, adult learning principles, or communities of practice would be advantageous.
