Our team is looking for a Senior Content Strategist who can own the content strategy shaping the CLS user experience, delivering clarity, accessibility, and trust throughout a complex technical product.
Responsibilities
Establish and lead the content strategy and information architecture for the CLS platform, including the new Google Skills experience
Create scalable content frameworks and set up the product's official Voice & Tone Guide
Spearhead impactful Accessibility initiatives, making sure product content complies with WCAG standards and works with screen readers and other assistive technologies
Take ownership of all UX copy across the CLS platform, removing friction and enabling faster velocity for design and engineering teams
Function as the go-to content expert to reduce reputational risk in AI features by aligning user-facing content with Google's AI Principles
Support alignment on how UX quality is defined and measured, including user comprehension
Design and lead content experiments, such as A/B tests, to show measurable ROI from content decisions
Guide planning and prioritization alongside cross-functional stakeholders and UX peers to surface high-impact opportunities and improve operational efficiency
Requirements
5-9 years of industry experience overall
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
6-8 years working in UX writing, content design, or technical writing within an applied product setting, including 3+ years leading content strategy work
Background in UX-driven product writing and developing content for cross-functional projects
A track record of partnering with and influencing stakeholders across Product Management, Data, Engineering, and Marketing to align internal and external messaging
Proven ability to create and scale content for complex technical products
A resume that includes a portfolio, website, or link demonstrating your work
Nice to have
Experience in EdTech, Cloud (B2B/B2C), or Enterprise learning environments
Deep expertise leading content design for complex products involving Trust, Consent, and Transparency
Hands-on experience leading Accessibility (a11y) and Localization (l10n) initiatives with measurable impact
Comfort working with AI features and platforms, particularly around building user trust and mental models
