Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Onboarding Specialist to join our Training Department and play a crucial role in welcoming and preparing new employees for success at Right Traffic. The Onboarding Specialist will coordinate and deliver comprehensive onboarding programs that effectively integrate new hires into the company culture, processes, and role-specific training. This role ensures new team members have the knowledge, resources, and support needed to contribute confidently and quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding sessions for new hires, including orientation, compliance training, and role-specific instruction
  • Develop and maintain onboarding materials, resources, and schedules in collaboration with the Training team
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees during the onboarding process, addressing questions and providing support
  • Collaborate with HR, department managers, and trainers to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
  • Track onboarding progress and maintain accurate records of completed trainings and certifications
  • Gather feedback from new employees and stakeholders to continuously improve the onboarding experience
  • Assist in identifying onboarding needs and recommend enhancements to training programs
  • Support the Training Department with administrative tasks and training logistics as needed

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in employee onboarding, training coordination, or related HR functions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and onboarding software is a plus
  • Knowledge of the traffic control or construction industry is advantageous but not required
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
