Technical Writer – Medical Devices

Remote | Long-Term Contract

Help turn complex medical technology into instructions people can trust.

I’m partnering with a global medical device organization seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support its UX Instructional Design team. You’ll create and improve user-facing documentation for healthcare products used by patients and customers worldwide.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical accuracy, clear communication and thoughtful user experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Create and update user guides and Instructions for Use.


  • Support documentation across multiple products, markets and languages.


  • Migrate content into a structured content management system.


  • Partner with UX, Regulatory, Engineering, Product and Medical teams.


  • Manage multiple projects within a fast-moving Agile environment.


  • Ensure content remains clear, accurate and compliant.


What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of technical writing experience.


  • Experience creating IFUs, user guides or instructional manuals.


  • Strong Adobe InDesign, Acrobat and Creative Cloud skills.


  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Miro or Smartsheet.


  • Excellent organization and stakeholder-management skills.


  • The ability to work independently in a remote environment.


Experience with DITA, MadCap IXIA, CCMS platforms or medical devices would be highly advantageous.
