Role Overview:

In this role, you will take full ownership of the engineering lifecycle for our complex, multi-disciplinary products, from New Product Introduction (NPI) to global serial production. Serving as the highest engineering authority on the production floor and with global manufacturers, your ultimate goal is ensuring seamless supply, reducing costs, and improving product quality. If you are a delivery-obsessed leader with the "healthy chutzpah" to challenge R&D designs, push for better manufacturability, and thrive in a fast-paced environment - you will feel right at home.

Responsibilities:

● End-to-End Ownership: Lead the transition of "System of Systems" (Hardware, Software, Mechanics, Optics) from R&D design freeze to mass production, prioritizing on-time delivery to the end customer above all else.

● BOM & Configuration Management: Take full ownership of building, maintaining, and driving the Bill of Materials (BOM). Initiate, lead, and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) directly with the production floor.

● Multidisciplinary Troubleshooting: Rapidly resolve complex production anomalies across mechanics, electronics, and optics. Take complete responsibility for defining and implementing both immediate workarounds and long-term corrective actions.

● Transfer of Technology (TOT): Lead global knowledge transfer processes to international manufacturing sites. Define production line infrastructures, handover BOMs, and establish clear manufacturing and assembly instructions for remote facilities.

● Cross-Functional & R&D Challenging: Partner with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Planning (ΧͺΧ€"Χ™). Actively challenge R&D teams to optimize designs for cost (DTC) and manufacturability (DFM), ensuring components are available and affordable without compromising quality.

Requirements:

● Education: B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

● Experience: 5+ years of proven experience providing engineering support for complex, multi-disciplinary manufacturing processes (System of Systems).

● Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of supply chain and operational processes (Procurement, Inventory, Planning, Lead Times). Strong background in manufacturability and testing methodologies.

● Mindset: Delivery-obsessed, highly proactive, and armed with "healthy chutzpah." You must be able to confidently challenge existing development processes to support lean, cost-effective, and available production.

Advantages:

● Strong advantage: Prior experience in the defense industry, with deep familiarity with strict military standards, quality requirements, and acceptance processes.

● Proven track record leading global Transfer of Technology (TOT) and NPI processes between international companies or sites.

● Past experience as an R&D engineer, with a strong understanding of the development cycle leading up to design freeze.
