Job Overview

As a GCO Project Manager, you will be part of a team working on a variety of localisation projects, supporting client retention, excellent service and project profitability.

This is a fast-paced role requiring a proactive approach and effective communication with all relevant stakeholders. Projects may involve tight deadlines, so you will need to remain calm, organised and focused while working under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage workflows to ensure projects are completed on time, within the agreed budget and to a consistently high standard.
  • Monitor and control project finances through effective budget management, invoicing and change orders, ensuring targeted levels of profitability are achieved.
  • Provide operational support to Sales and Account Management during the quotation stage where required.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of VSI’s core services so that you can advise clients appropriately and refer potential cross-selling opportunities to Sales.
  • Prepare project reports for the Account Manager and/or Head of Department as required.
  • Arrange production meetings or conference calls with clients for complex projects and maintain strong communication throughout delivery.
  • Use initiative to resolve client or supplier issues, escalating matters to the line manager where appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities to improve projects, client accounts and internal processes.
  • Discuss and understand each client’s specific requirements and offer appropriate advice where necessary.
  • Process supplier and client invoices accurately and promptly.
  • Use internal tools effectively, ensuring all data is entered accurately and each project is managed efficiently throughout its lifecycle.
Essential Skills and Experience

  • Understanding of dubbing and/or subtitling workflows.
  • Full professional proficiency in Spanish, equivalent to CEFR C1 level or above, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional working proficiency in English, as the role involves communication with international colleagues, clients and suppliers.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, particularly when coordinating multimedia requirements across production services.
  • Effective written and verbal communication when working with clients, suppliers and internal team members.
