Learning Designer + Architect

Saltee Co Β· Contract / Freelance Β· Fully Remote

The Role

Saltee Co has a growing library of frameworks, presentation decks, workshop content, + proprietary methodologies, built by our founder and refined through real client engagements. What we need now is someone who can take that material and transform it into world-class learning experiences.

As our Learning Designer & Architect, you'll be the person who bridges the gap between a powerful idea and the materials that make it land in a room. You'll help build the scaffolding (facilitator guides, participant workbooks, training modules, + brand-aligned client deliverables) that allow our content to be delivered consistently, professionally, and at scale.

This is a contract role with ongoing project-based work. The right person will grow with us as we scale.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Transform existing frameworks and presentations into structured facilitator guides, participant workbooks, and training materials that can be delivered by anyone, not just the person who built them
  • Adapt and align materials to the brand guidelines, language, + culture of each credit union or community bank client we partner with
  • Create supporting assets which could include job aids, reference cards, reinforcement tools, + manager guides, that extend learning beyond the training room
  • Maintain consistency across all Saltee Co deliverables while allowing for client-specific customization
  • Evolve our content library as new frameworks and service lines are developed

What We're Looking For

  • You have a real background in instructional design or curriculum development. You know what a facilitator guide should include, how to write learning objectives that aren't fluff, + why participant experience matters as much as content accuracy.
  • You think architecturally. You don't just format slides - you think about flow, sequencing, + how a learner moves through material from confusion to clarity.
  • You're a strong visual communicator. Our materials need to look as sharp as they read. You're comfortable working within brand guidelines + know the difference between clean design vs busy design.
  • You work independently. This is a remote, contract role. You'll receive source material + a brief (and you'll produce polished deliverables without a lot of hand-holding.)
  • Financial services experience is a plus, not a requirement. We'll teach you the industry. We can't teach you how to design learning.

Tools

Proficiency in some combination of the following:

  • PowerPoint / Google Slides (required)
  • Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (preferred)
  • Google Workspace (required)

Compensation

Project-based. Rate commensurate with experience. Ongoing work available for the right fit.

How To Apply

If you're reading this, then just apply (but it'd also be awesome if you sent a brief note about your background + a portfolio or samples of past work to todd@getsaltee.com with the subject line Learning Designer & Architect.
