Position: Knowledge Management Specialist

Engagement: Time-Bound – 12 Person-Months

Location: West Bengal

We are looking for an experienced Knowledge Management Specialist to support the Women’s Economic Empowerment Project (WEP) through knowledge strategy, documentation, capacity building, knowledge dissemination and stakeholder engagement.

πŸŽ“ Qualification

  • Master’s degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Management, Economics, Social Work, Rural Development, or a related discipline from a Government-recognized university/institution.
  • Equivalent professional certification in Knowledge Management or a related discipline will also be considered.

πŸ’Ό Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience, preferably in the Public/Social Sector.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Knowledge Management role.
  • Experience in women’s economic empowerment initiatives in West Bengal is highly desirable.
  • Experience working on bilateral/multilateral funded projects or Externally Aided Projects will be an added advantage.

πŸ› οΈ Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bengali.
  • Strong presentation, documentation and analytical skills.
  • Good networking, advocacy and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Knowledge Management frameworks, documentation and dissemination.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel to districts for technical assistance.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deliver within timelines.
  • Transparent, participative and non-discriminatory approach.

πŸ“Œ Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the Knowledge Management Framework, Plan, SOPs, Guidelines and Implementation Strategy for WEP.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Knowledge Repository by collecting, cataloguing and organizing relevant knowledge products.
  • Compile and document national and international best practices, tools, SOPs, guidelines, reports, success stories and other knowledge resources.
  • Prepare relevant schematic and legal compendiums and maintain an organized knowledge inventory.
  • Support DWCDSW in organizing workshops and capacity-building programmes for dissemination of the WEP knowledge strategy.
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange among internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the organization of trainings, seminars and workshops, including coordination with resource persons.
  • Develop presentations, workshop materials and communication content related to project deliverables.
  • Implement a communications plan to effectively document and disseminate outcomes and learnings from workshops and seminars.
  • Undertake other knowledge management and documentation assignments as required for achieving project objectives.
