Position Overview

The Training and Adoption Lead is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering the learning and performance support program for the updated Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This role translates approved processes into practical, role-based learning experiences that enable employees to successfully perform their responsibilities. The position oversees training needs analysis, curriculum development, learning materials, delivery, proficiency assessments, go-live support, and post-launch adoption activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct training needs analyses based on future-state processes and role impacts.
  • Develop role-based training curricula, learning objectives, and delivery plans.
  • Create training materials, including handbooks, facilitator guides, participant guides, job aids, checklists, and process documentation.
  • Design instructional videos, demonstrations, microlearning modules, and scenario-based learning content.
  • Deliver instructor-led, virtual, self-paced, and blended learning programs.
  • Develop assessments, knowledge checks, practice exercises, and course evaluations.
  • Coordinate SME reviews, testing, approvals, publication, and version control.
  • Pilot training programs and incorporate user feedback.
  • Develop train-the-trainer resources and manager reinforcement materials.
  • Support go-live activities through office hours, Teams support, FAQs, knowledge articles, and issue escalation.
  • Track training completion, assessment results, learner adoption, and support metrics.
  • Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, enrollment, system access, facilitators, and training environments.
  • Establish proficiency standards, remediation plans, and training compliance requirements.
  • Integrate SDLC training into onboarding, contractor, vendor, and refresher training programs.
  • Ensure learning materials meet accessibility, localization, reporting, and data retention standards.
  • Transition training content and support processes to long-term business owners.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, Communications, Business, Technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience designing and delivering training for process improvement or technology transformation initiatives.
  • Experience developing: Training curricula, Instructor-led training (ILT), Virtual instructor-led training (VILT), Job aids, Handbooks, Digital learning content
  • Strong instructional writing, facilitation, presentation, and content development skills.
  • Experience conducting training needs analyses and developing role-based learning programs.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business or technical processes into practical, performance-focused learning experiences.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), DevSecOps, cybersecurity, IT governance, or process compliance initiatives.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies, including ADDIE.
  • Experience using learning and collaboration tools such as: Guidde, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Camtasia
  • Comparable learning or content development platforms
  • Experience developing proficiency measurements, managing office hours or hypercare support, and facilitating communities of practice.
