APS5 Instructional Designer

Classification: APS5 $55.24/hr

Requirements: Must be an Australian citizen and have experience with Articulate.

Location: Adelaide based, flexible working arrangements

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Instructional Designer to join a collaborative Learning & Development team responsible for designing engaging learning solutions that support a large frontline workforce.

Working alongside subject matter experts and key stakeholders, you'll develop high-quality eLearning, blended learning and onboarding programs that enable staff to perform at their best. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating complex information into engaging, accessible learning experiences while working in a structured, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engaging eLearning and instructor-led training programs.

  • Create learning content using Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise and other LMS systems.

  • Conduct learning needs analysis and work closely with subject matter experts to understand business requirements.

  • Develop facilitator guides, learner workbooks, job aids, assessments and supporting learning resources.

  • Design onboarding, continuous improvement and capability development programs.

  • Ensure all learning content meets accessibility standards and instructional design best practice.

About You

You'll be an experienced Instructional Designer who enjoys creating engaging learning experiences and working closely with stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes.

You will ideally have:

  • 2+ years' experience in instructional design, learning design or learning & development.

  • Strong experience using Articulate Storyline (highly desirable) and Articulate Rise.

  • Experience developing eLearning, blended learning and digital learning solutions.

  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS).

  • Sound understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.

  • Experience conducting learning needs analysis and translating business requirements into effective training.

  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience facilitating training or trainer familiarisation sessions will be highly regarded.

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) is advantageous.
