Role: Technical Writer – Medical Devices | Lafayette, CO (Hybrid)

Location: Lafayette, Colorado (Hybrid – 3-4 days/week onsite)

Duration: 6-Month Contract (Aug 2026 – Jan 2027)

Schedule: 40 Hours/Week


We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to support a leading Medical Device company. The ideal candidate will have strong experience creating and managing technical documentation in structured authoring environments while working with cross-functional engineering, regulatory, and quality teams.


Top 3 Required Skills

Structured Authoring – Strong experience with Structured FrameMaker, Adobe FrameMaker, Oxygen XML, or similar tools, including XML/DITA and CMS-based content management.

Medical Device Technical Documentation – Experience creating and maintaining Instructions for Use (IFUs/eIFUs) in a regulated environment.

Quality & Documentation Processes – Knowledge of change impact/effect analysis, translation/localization workflows, requirements traceability, and quality system documentation.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of Technical Writing experience
  • Adobe FrameMaker (Structured FrameMaker)
  • Structured XML / HTML / DITA authoring
  • Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • IFU/eIFU documentation
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, and R&D
  • Bachelor's Degree

Nice to Have

  • Vasont CMS
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe InDesign
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Medical Device or other regulated industry experience
