Electrical Documentation Engineer

Are you passionate about electrical engineering, technical documentation, and renewable energy? We are looking for an Electrical Documentation Engineer to join an exciting offshore wind energy project.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining clear and accurate technical documentation for electrical installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance activities. You will work closely with Engineering, EHS, Field Operations, Technical Support, and Project teams, helping transform complex engineering information into practical procedures for field teams.

💻 Your day-to-day

• Create, review, and maintain electrical technical documentation for installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance activities.
• Develop RAMS, maintenance instructions, test procedures, and digital checklists for electrical power, control, and instrumentation systems.
• Translate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and engineering changes into clear and practical field procedures.
• Update documentation according to design changes, ensuring correct version control and traceability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, EHS, Field Operations, Technical Support, and Project teams to gather technical information and improve documentation.
• Ensure that technical procedures include the necessary electrical safety, isolation, and EHS requirements.
• Manage documentation and approval workflows through EDMS and digital documentation platforms.
• Incorporate feedback and lessons learned from commissioning and service teams to continuously improve procedures.
• Provide remote and occasional on-site support to field teams when required.

✨ What do we need from you?

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in technical documentation, procedure writing, commissioning, or similar roles within an electrical environment.
• Good knowledge of electrical power, control, and instrumentation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Experience with EDMS, document control, and version management processes.
• Understanding of EHS practices and electrical safety requirements.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary and international teams.
• Fluent professional English, both written and spoken.
• Previous experience in wind energy, commissioning, installation, maintenance, or other complex industrial environments would be a plus.
• Knowledge of structured technical documentation standards would also be valued.

The salary for this position ranges from € 35.000 to € 45.000 gross per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.
