For our client, we are seeking a Documentation Manager, Platforms & Ecosystems to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.
This leader will own the evolution of documentation operations for a technical platform environment, with a strong focus on quality, scalability, and coverage. The role will guide a team responsible for creating reliable content that supports customers and internal stakeholders while keeping pace with rapidly changing AI capabilities. It will also partner closely with product and cross-functional teams to align documentation priorities with broader roadmaps and delivery needs.
The ideal candidate will bring a mix of content strategy leadership, team management, and process transformation experience, along with the ability to use metrics to improve documentation outcomes.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $114,600 β $218,300 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the documentation team through hiring, coaching, and performance management
- Redesign documentation processes to leverage AI for efficiency and broader coverage
- Develop AI skills and content automation approaches to strengthen documentation reliability
- Monitor advances in AI to keep documentation practices current and competitive
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of documentation content
- Align documentation priorities with product roadmaps and broader team objectives
Qualifications
- 8+ years in technical writing or content strategy
- 4+ years of experience managing teams
- Hands-on experience with generative AI tools and content automation
- Proven leadership in transforming documentation processes or tools
- Strong ability to define metrics and frameworks for content quality
