Overview

An LP Developer/Technical Writer, create instruction manuals, Service Guides, and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information more easily. They also develop, gather, and disseminate technical information among customers, designers, and manufacturers.

We are seeking a Technical Writer to produce high quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our business. You will be supporting Keysight Signal Analyzer, Signal Generator, Vector Network Analyzers | Keysight products developed in our High Frequency Measurements R&D organization. This can be a fast paced, interrupt-driven environment which necessitates self-motivation, good organization, and self-management of priorities. Position will also include integration and development for AI driven systems.

Responsibilities

  • Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation
  • Study product samples and work closely with R&D, Support, and Marketing teams to make products easier to use and thus need fewer instructions
  • Plan, organize, write, format, and occasionally illustrate technical documentation for hardware and software products.
  • Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users’ understanding
  • Standardize content across platforms and media
  • Gather usability feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers
  • Revise documents as new issues arise

Exercising professional judgement and maintaining positive working relationships with customers, suppliers and all staff across the business

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree or University Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year direct experience working with HFM Learning Products team on Network Analyzers.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, commitment to task, creativity in problem solving
  • Work collaboratively to solve difficult technical problems
  • Excellent English written and oral communications skills
  • Able to create documentation from the design documents and instrument that includes procedures, concept, programming, and SCPI.
  • Proficient using authoring tools to create/edit documentation:
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • RoboHelp
  • Madcap Flare
  • Adpbe FrameMaker
  • Adobe PhotoShop
  • Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • CorelDraw

Desired

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Technical background (e.g. can perform basic RF & Microwave Measurements)

User Training - have created/developed and delivered customer and/or field training on our products

CA Pay Range

$106,810.00 Annually - $178,020.00 Annually
