917Ventures is the corporate venture builder of Globe. In 2027 we're putting our agentic AI platform at the center of everything we do, and we're building a developer community around it from scratch.
We need someone to own that community end to end, from a developer's first touchpoint with us to building, governing and deploying production AI agents on our platform. You'll run the programs that turn curious developers into a skilled community of AI builders, and route the strongest of them into our venture pipeline, enterprise deployments and agent inventory.
This is a one-person role with a lot of support around it. You design the programs, grow the community, and make sure the right builders reach the right team.
What you'll do
Keep a running map of the AI space and the Philippine developer community: which segments are growing, which tools and frameworks builders are adopting, and where our platform fits. Use it to keep reshaping the program mix.
Grow and run our open developer community, including shared channels, monthly meetups, sample agents and our free platform tier.
Get developers from sign-up to their first working AI agent, through hands-on workshops and hackathons designed with our FDEs.
Build a certification track around real, practical challenges: building an agent, connecting it to enterprise systems and data, implementing human approvals and guardrails, orchestrating multiple agents, and deploying and monitoring in production.
Recruit and manage an ambassador program with community leads from Philippine developer and AI groups, giving them platform credits, early access to new features and direct access to our engineering team.
Plan and run hackathons centered on real enterprise problems from Globe, Ayala and our partners, including our flagship joint event.
Build relationships with universities, AI meetups, venues and partner communities to keep expanding our reach.
Work with FDEs on office hours and hackathon support, and bring developer feedback on agent tooling, docs and onboarding back to our platform team.
Spot the builders with momentum and route them: startups into Velocity, deployable builds to our FDEs, and reusable agents into our agent inventory once they clear governance review.
Use AI tools in your own work, whether that means drafting content, analyzing community data or automating program operations, so a one-person team can run at scale.
Own the metrics at every stage of the funnel: developer sign-ups, developers with active usage, repeat usage, certified builders, ambassador reach and production agents shipped.
What you bring
4 to 6+ years in developer relations, community management or technical evangelism, ideally at a platform, API, SDK or AI company.
A track record of building or scaling a developer community from early stage to hundreds of active members.
Hands-on familiarity with building on LLMs and AI agents. You've built something yourself with LLM APIs, agent frameworks or tool-calling, and can speak credibly about concepts like RAG, MCP, orchestration, evals and guardrails.
Enough technical fluency to hold your own with engineers on agents, APIs and connectors, and to run certification challenges credibly.
Experience running events end to end: hackathons, meetups, workshops, ambassador programs and venue logistics.
A natural relationship-builder who is comfortable being the public face of our developer ecosystem.
Comfort owning a funnel with real numbers at every stage, and making decisions from the data.
The ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product and commercial teams without needing to own their work.
Nice to have
Existing relationships within Philippine developer and AI communities.
Experience running or judging hackathons focused on enterprise or B2B problems.
Experience with enterprise AI adoption, including security, data access and governance requirements for agents in production.
A public presence as a builder or speaker, such as talks, open source projects, technical writing or content about AI.
