CSU Technical Author – Rotating Equipment Specialists

Kent is seeking Expressions of Interest from CSU Technical Author – Rotating Equipment Specialists for a major underground pumped storage hydroelectric project in regional NSW, centered on six 333 MW reversible Francis pump-turbines rated for approximately 720 m head.

On a 12-month contract (extension option), you'll convert and develop OEM-sourced commissioning procedures for pump-turbine units, main inlet valves and turbine auxiliary systems into Australian-compliant, field-executable documentation.

We're looking for:

• 15+ years' commissioning experience on large rotating equipment, including 5+ years on hydraulic turbine-generator units
• Hands-on experience with major turbine OEMs (e.g. GE Renewables, Andritz Hydro, Voith, Toshiba, Hitachi or Sulzer)
• Pumped storage or reversible/variable-speed hydro experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated technical authoring — writing complex commissioning procedures, not just executing them
• Mechanical Engineering degree or trade qualification with extensive senior commissioning experience
