Content Strategist & Copywriter

Dacie Clean Inc. • Remote/Nationwide
Apply on Company Site ↗

Full Time | Onsite | London

Permanent employed role only. No freelancers, contractors or agencies please.

We are looking for a Content Strategist & Copywriter who can work out what we should say, why anyone should care, and then actually write it.

About Us

We're an entrepreneurial Aussie family, originally from Melbourne, running quite a few businesses across the US, Australia and now the UK and Europe.

We're not an agency, but you'll get to work across a genuinely diverse range of products and brands.

You'll primarily be working in the office of Dacie Clean, the detergent company of the family, run by Dakota.. a small brunette in her late twenties with a big passion for dancing and an even bigger one for solving laundry problems nobody else wants to talk about.

She opened the London office at Westbourne Studios in January 2026 to push some of our brands from the US into the UK & Europe, so we're still very much early days.

You'll be part of our London creative crew, working closely with our Graphic Designer, Ecommerce Manager and Social Media & PR Manager.

We're hoping to find the right people to grow with and build a genuinely fun, supportive and kind culture.

This is a startup environment, so it needs initiative, resourcefulness, curiosity and a healthy ability to just get things done.

We're after someone full time, but we offer up to 2 months a year remote work if you want to travel and we'll even shout you the coworking space fees while you're off adventuring.

Bring your mates too!

After three years adapting our US products for Europe, they're finally arriving in the UK... hooray!! It's been a long process.

So it's time to ramp up the team.

We're also currently hiring for:

  • Ecommerce Manager
  • Social Media & PR Manager
  • Bookkeeper & Financial Coordinator

If you know talented people you'd genuinely love to work alongside, mention it in your application.

The Role

This is not a role where someone hands you a brief and says:

"Can you make this sound nicer?"

You're the person writing the brief.

At its core, this is a content strategy + copywriting role.

You will work across Daintie Delicates, PODBOSS and Laundry Vending Products, as well as supporting some of the wider family businesses.

Your job is to understand the product, customer and commercial goal, then work out:

Who are we talking to?

What do they actually care about?

What's their problem?

Why should they choose us?

What should we say?

What's the angle?

And what actually needs to be created?

Then you write it.

And brief everyone else.

The Brands

Daintie Delicates is a specialist laundry detergent designed to remove period stains and other biological stains from delicate clothing. It's gentle, effective, intentionally stigma-breaking and won a shiny silver award last year.

PODBOSS is our detergent brand focused on wholesale, convenience-sized detergent and bulk detergent pods.

Laundry Vending Products sells the vending machines PODBOSS goes inside of, alongside other laundrette equipment and supplies.

Beyond detergents, the wider family businesses span caravans, arborist machinery, concrete mixers, medical and lab products.

So over time you may also find yourself writing about a stump grinder, a caravan, a laundry rack or something else nobody warned you about when you applied.

You don't need to arrive knowing how all of those things work. In fact it's often helpful because you write as though you've never seen this product in your life and therefore explain it well in my opinion but yeah you do need to be curious enough to figure it out.

What we mean by content

“Content” can mean just about anything now, so this is worth defining.

For us, it means the words, messaging and strategy that live across websites, email marketing, Amazon listings, packaging, ecommerce, catalogues, product launches, proposals and sales materials.

This role is particularly heavy on email marketing, web, ecommerce and packaging.

We have a few roles advertised at the moment and know some of them can look similar from a distance, so it's worth being clear: this is not our social media role.

Our creative roles work very closely together, but they are distinct.

Our Social Media & PR Manager owns the promotional world around the brands: social, creators, PR, events, filming, partnerships and getting us seen. We are als currently hiring for it

You own the words, messaging, customer story, positioning and content strategy behind it all.

What you'll actually do
Strategy + execution

For a new product, campaign, website or launch, you’ll help work out the positioning and messaging before anything gets designed or published.

You’ll then turn that into a clear brief for our Graphic Designer and Ecommerce Manager.

You’ll also write the copy across:

  • Websites and product pages
  • Amazon listings and A+ content
  • Packaging
  • Product names, claims and benefits
  • Email flows and campaigns
  • Advertising
  • Sales and distributor materials
  • Proposals and pitch decks
  • Trade show materials
  • Case studies
  • Award submissions
  • Press releases
  • SEO content

Some days you'll be explaining why a specialist detergent removes biological stains.

The next you'll be figuring out how to make a commercial laundry cart interesting.

Then someone might ask you to rewrite a product page about an articulated loader.

Variety will not be the problem.

Email marketing is a major part of the role

Across our brands we have different customers, buying cycles and opportunities for repeat purchase.

You’ll take the lead on the content and commercial strategy behind our email marketing, particularly through Klaviyo.

Working with Design & Ecommerce

These will be two of your closest working relationships.

Ecommerce brings search behaviour, platform knowledge, marketplace data and performance.

You turn that into positioning, customer arguments, content structure and copy.

You and Design work through what each asset needs to communicate and how the story should unfold.

Design builds it.

Ecommerce publishes it.

Then everyone looks at what happened and improves it.

The same relationship applies across websites, packaging, email and launches.

What we’re looking for

You’ll probably thrive here if:

  • You’re an excellent writer but naturally think like a strategist
  • You ask questions before opening the blank document
  • You can turn a vague commercial goal into a useful brief
  • You’re commercially minded
  • You understand email marketing beyond newsletters
  • You understand customer journeys, segmentation, automation and retention
  • You can switch brand voices easily
  • You can explain technical things simply without making them inaccurate
  • You’re comfortable with SEO, conversion and email data
  • You can research quickly
  • You’re organised enough to keep several brands and launches moving
  • You’re responsive, curious and proactive
  • You can work things out without needing every step handed to you

Most importantly:

You have a portfolio that proves you can write.

We’d particularly love to see work across email marketing, ecommerce, websites, packaging and B2B.

We’d genuinely rather see three excellent pieces than thirty average ones.

Location

Full time, onsite in London:

Westbourne Studios W10 5JJ

This role is deliberately office-based.

A lot of the value comes from sitting with Design and Ecommerce, pulling something apart together, changing the brief, looking at data and working through ideas in real time.

We work across several time zones, so there is some flexibility around working hours.

And we offer up to 2 months a year remote work if you want to travel, with coworking fees on us.

To Apply

Apply with your CV and examples of your best work.

Pick the pieces you're genuinely proud of and tell us:

  • What you did
  • What you were trying to achieve
  • What part was yours
  • And, where relevant, what happened after it went live

We'd particularly love to see email, ecommerce, web and packaging work.

And if you've got talented mates you'd genuinely love to work alongside, send them our way too.
