What you will do?

As a Clearance & Brokerage Training Specialist, you will drive operational excellence by developing and delivering technical learning solutions that strengthen the capabilities of our Clearance & Brokerage teams. You will partner with Operations, Quality, Compliance, and Subject Matter Experts to ensure employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to deliver compliant, efficient, and customer-focused customs clearance services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver onboarding, technical, compliance, and refresher training programs for Clearance & Brokerage employees.
  • Conduct training needs analysis by evaluating operational performance, quality trends, process changes, and business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, facilitator guides, e-learning content, job aids, and knowledge resources.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Clearance & Brokerage processes, customs regulations, and operational best practices.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, coaching observations, operational metrics, and stakeholder feedback, implementing continuous improvements where required.
  • Support new process implementations, system enhancements, and business transformation initiatives through training and change management activities.
  • Partner with Operations leaders, Quality, Compliance, and regional stakeholders to ensure learning solutions align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Job Description

The Clearance & Brokerage Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering technical training programs that enhance employee capability, regulatory compliance, and operational performance across Clearance & Brokerage operations.

Acting as a subject matter expert, this role partners with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to identify capability gaps, develop effective learning solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role also contributes to operational readiness by supporting new process implementations, system enhancements, and organizational change through structured training and knowledge transfer.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration, Education, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Customs Clearance, Brokerage Operations, Trade Compliance, Logistics, Learning & Development, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, brokerage operations, import/export processes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience designing and facilitating instructor-led, virtual, or blended learning programs.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, stakeholder management, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify capability gaps and recommend learning solutions.
  • Experience supporting process improvement, operational transformation, or system implementation initiatives is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Learning Management Systems (LMS); experience with e-learning authoring tools is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively across functions in a fast-paced environment.
