Amentum is seeking a Senior Operational Documentation Specialist who can assist in a SLBM Fleet Documentation and Nuclear / Conventional Safety for SLBM Submarines for our customer in Dahlgren, VA.Senior Operational Documentation Specialist Responsibilities Include: Advising manage and mentor personnel assigned to technical documentation function. Interfacing with engineers and Fleet personnel regarding the editing and publication of various types of documents such as Fleet Documentation, Operating Proeedures, and Targeting Tactics for the Strategic Weapons System. Overseeing development of operational procedures. Track and monitor flow of all documents from inception to distribution of final copies. Identify and correct problem areas as they arise. Providing final quality assurance check for all document deliverables. Utilizing appropriate computer software for document text production. Investigate and implement best ways to produce documentation electronically. Establishing and maintain electronic and/or hardcopy data library of documents. Demonstrated familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures. Six (6) years of concurrent specialized experience in three or more of the following areas with the provision that all areas of specialized experience are covered by the group of Documentation Specialists: Operation of SLBM Fire Control Systems or Tomahawk Weapons Control Systems; operating experience in SSBN Weapons Systems; or direct fleet documentation support. Demonstrates the knowledge and understanding of the documentation and the strategic, combat and/or weapon system equipment it supports, including targeting, operational, and training documentation. Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET ClearancePreferred Qualifications: Experience in the operations of the Strategic Weapons System on board SSBN Submarines, Serving as a Missile Technician Chief, Senior Chief, or Master Chief.
